Though automation and collaboration are often viewed as diametrically opposed because collaboration increases human touches, while automation eliminates them, the reality is we need to increase both of them in every step of the workflow and from every participant. In a new blog by Consultant Howie Fenton, he writes about the need for both automation and collaboration.
By eliminating human intervention, automation results in fewer production mistakes and faster turnaround times. It is not uncommon to save hours or even days and reduce cost by 15-30%. Meanwhile, Fenton writes, the greater the depth of collaboration, the more likely the final result will meet or exceed the customers' expectations.
