It arises from the very need of the institution, and it has a distinctive sense of how the institution and its departments can best be served. The SDAE can also serve as an integral element in the institution's system of internal control. As compared with the general market, the SDAE is in a better position to help preserve the institution's assets and protect them from theft, pilferage, loss, and other perils.
