SGIA and NAPCO Media have announced that Canon, HP, and Ricoh have signed sponsorship agreements for the inaugural Wide-format Summit, to be held April 20-22, 2020, at the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort in Austin, Texas. The Summit, announced on Oct. 1, will be the first invitation-only hosted buyers conference in the history of wide-format digital printing.
The Wide-format Summit is designed to give senior managers and executives strategic-level insights into what they must do to grow, improve, and optimize their businesses. The event, which will be co-hosted with the eighth annual Inkjet Summit, will feature keynote presentations from thought leaders in wide-format printing, panel discussions featuring businesses that have successfully adopted wide-format technology, interactive case studies highlighting innovative applications and implementations in the field, and in-depth 1:1 discussions between print executives, technology solution providers, and advisory board members.
Canon and HP signed on as top-level sponsors for the Wide-format Summit, taking two of the four available Keynote Sponsor positions. Ricoh has committed to a Gold Sponsor package.
“We believe the Wide-format Summit is exactly the type of event that this industry urgently needs, delivering top-notch content and exceptional networking experiences for printers and vendors as they plot their paths forward,” said Steve Duccilli, vice president and brand director of Wide-format and Industrial Printing for NAPCO Media, and co-chair of the Wide-format Summit. “It’s exciting to see leading vendors embracing the concept so quickly. Clearly, they share our vision and see the same dynamic in the market that we do.”
Co-chairs Duccilli and Dan Marx, director of content development at SGIA, are working with an advisory board featuring key thought leaders in wide-format printing to develop the Wide-format Summit program. The unique, invitation-only format of the event will bring together a select group of executive peers and help them understand how current and future digital printing technology, substrate options, finishing technology, and data management solutions will impact their businesses and investment plans. Sponsors will have ample opportunities to network with these highly qualified decision makers, including at social events and meals, private case study presentations, and prescheduled 1:1 meetings – all taking place in the plush resort setting of the Hyatt Lost Pines.
