Not every university or school district has an in-plant. For those that don't, commercial and specialty printers have stepped in to provide the printing they need. In a recent article in Wide-format Impressions, those printers offered some interesting observations that may prove useful to in-plants serving the education market.
The article summarizes trends in university graphics, such as printing on brushed aluminum and glass and using accent lighting to highlight images. From flag pole banners to locker room walls, to sidewalk graphics designed to distract students whose eyes are glued to their phones, these printers provide some unique printed pieces that may give your in-plant some new ideas.
