Waste Not, Want Not
By applying Lean Six Sigma practices, the Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools' Graphic Production Center was able to reduce its paper waste by 90 percent, resulting in potential additional revenue of $64,000 annually.
"It's probably the hardest thing that I have ever done from a management point of view," Griffin says of his first Lean Six Sigma project. "But at the end you have the opportunity for a huge celebration."
