One of the most satisfying stories I heard on my New York sojourn came from a manager I met at the EFI seminar, who told me that IPG had saved his in-plant. After his upper management brought in a facilities management vendor as a “consultant” and made preparations to close the shop, he called a real consultant whose article he had read in IPG. The resulting analysis showed the company how valuable its in-plant was, and the FM was sent packing.
