BlueCrest, an industry-leading global technology provider and supplier of a comprehensive line of enterprise software, printers, inserters, sorters, and parcel solutions, is announcing the acquisition of BCC Software, a leader in postal and presort software solutions in North America for over 40 years. BCC Software will become BCC Software, a BlueCrest Company.
In August 2019, BlueCrest and BCC Software announced a partnership to offer best-in-class postal optimization and mail tracking capabilities to the market. This symbiotic partnership enhanced and enabled highly automated end-to-end print and mail workflow processing by leveraging a combined best-in-class hardware and software technology. This blending of technology provided robust benefits for any customers who work in the document messaging industry. As an evolution of this blossoming partnership, BlueCrest saw the acquisition of BCC Software as a natural opportunity for synergy and growth.
“We’ve been actively looking for ways we could expand our capabilities in the software space at BlueCrest,” said Dennis LeStrange, President and CEO of BlueCrest. “And the acquisition of BCC Software represents a transformative and highly complementary achievement. This will further strengthen BlueCrest as the largest end-to-end postal solutions provider. We’re so excited to see what these two leaders in the industry can do together.”
By acquiring BCC Software, BlueCrest will now be able to deliver complete end-to-end solutions for:
- Data Quality
- Design/Composition
- Document Re-Composition
- Presort & Logistics
- Printing
- Sorting
- Inserting
- Mail piece Preparation, Tracking & Reporting
For 40 years, BCC Software has been dedicated to bringing communications professionals industry-leading address quality offerings, mail preparation tools, and data enhancement solutions.
“Both BlueCrest and BCC Software are respected leaders in the direct communications space,” said Chris Lien, President of BCC Software. “As a single company, we now offer the mailing industry a comprehensive, complementary technology set – equipment, services, and software – that deliver our combined customer base leading solutions throughout the mail production workflow. In addition, customers will benefit from access to collective knowledge, professional services, and support. This does not simply make us bigger; combined, we are better.”
“Together with the BlueCrest and BCC Software management teams, we are excited about the prospects of bringing these companies together. This is a transformative acquisition reflective of our commitment to support BlueCrest’s long-term objectives by investing in growth organically and through strategic M&A,” said Platinum Equity Managing Director Adam Cooper. “We will continue pursuing additional opportunities to expand the company’s reach and improve its ability to serve its customers.”
BlueCrest is headquartered out of Danbury, Connecticut. BCC Software will maintain its principal operations in Rochester, New York, with an office in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
