Record Attendance at Avanti User Conference

Attendance was up 46 percent at Avanti Computer Systems' 23rd annual user group conference in Niagara Falls, Ontario, which took place October 6-9. For the first time, Avanti offered concurrent sessions for both its Avanti Classic and Avanti Slingshot customers.

“This year’s conference surpassed all of our goals and expectations,” says Patrick Bolan, Avanti president and CEO. “Our first-timers, who made up nearly half of our attendees, were quickly made to feel a welcome member of the Avanti family."

In September, Avanti Slingshot became the only JDF-certified cloud-based Print MIS in the market for both MIS to Prepress and Integrated Digital Printing. In addition, the company added new enhancements and improvements to the Avanti Classic platform, with the release of Version 14 in July.

Sponsors of the event included Ricoh, Xerox, Marcom Central, Soft Solutions, NexTec and ProShip. Back by popular demand was the “Ask the Experts” room, where customers could spend one-on-one time with Avanti Classic and/or Avanti Slingshot staff, for advice and ideas to maximize ROI of their print MIS platforms.

“I spent quality one-on-one time with Michelle in the ‘Ask the Experts’ room during the first two days of the conference,” says Joe Farage, President, Buffalo Printing Co. “All my questions were answered. That alone was well worth the price of admission.”

Attendees were treated to a spectacular experience at Avanti’s social event, which took place in picturesque Niagara-on-the-Lake. The group got a tour of Ravine Vineyard, including dinner and wine pairing. The evening was capped off with a bonfire and homemade ‘smores.

Avanti recently announced continued revenue growth for FY2015, which ended August 31, with year-over-year revenues up 14.7 percent. Avanti attributes its success in part to its continued investment in R&D, as well as its unwavering commitment to customer service.
