Association of Rocky Mountain College and University Mail Services (ARMCUMS) met in Rapid City, S.D.

Last month the Association of Rocky Mountain College and University Mail Services (ARMCUMS) met in Rapid City, S.D., for its 15th annual conference—finishing up just before a major snowstorm paralyzed the city.

Co-hosted by the University of North Dakota and Black Hills State University, the conference drew 34 attendees and featured tracks in both print and mail, with several university in-plant managers giving presentations:

• Bob Keats, of Colgate University, offered managers a practical strategy to succeed in a challenging future.

• Naomi Quiram, of Gustavus Adolphus College, discussed both Web-to-print solutions and copier fleet management.

• Thom Roylance, of Brigham Young University, described the benefits of merging print and mail.

• Ricoh’s Mike Loyd (who would later be stranded in Rapid City when a blizzard dumped two feet of snow on the region) described how to achieve excellence in your in-plant.
