18 In-plants Honored With ACUP Awards
On May 2, the Association of College and University Printers (ACUP+) honored the winners of its ACUP Awards competition in a ceremony at Lake Tahoe. The gala event capped the association's three-day educational conference, which drew 90 higher-ed in-plant managers.

Bucknell University's Publications, Print and Mail operation was the night's big winner, taking home five awards, including three First Place honors. Bucknell also won Best of Show for its wide-format window wrap for the Weis Center for the Performing Arts.
UT Health Houston Auxiliary Enterprises Printing Services was another of the night's top winners, earning three First Place awards, while Connecticut College's print shop won two First Place awards.
The inaugural People's Choice Award, voted on by conference attendees, was presented to the University of Alaska-Anchorage for its Wendy Red Star Exhibit Program.

This year's ACUP Hall of Fame honor went to Gina Harris, former in-plant manager for the University of Denver. Laura Sicklesteel, from California State University, San Bernardino, earned the ACUP Achiever award for her tireless work on the ACUP Planning Committee.

Bob has served as editor of In-plant Impressions since October of 1994. Prior to that he served for three years as managing editor of Printing Impressions, a commercial printing publication. Mr. Neubauer is very active in the U.S. in-plant industry. He attends all the major in-plant conferences and has visited more than 180 in-plant operations around the world. He has given presentations to numerous in-plant groups in the U.S., Canada and Australia, including the Association of College and University Printers and the In-plant Printing and Mailing Association. He also coordinates the annual In-Print contest, co-sponsored by IPMA and In-plant Impressions.
