Last week in Little Rock, Ark., the in-plant at the Division of Department of Work Force Services was the site of a Mark Andy training program for DI press users. The in-plant installed a certified pre-owned Presstek 34DI-X almost a year ago, and was happy to lend its facility to the program.
Called “My DI University,” the five-day Mark Andy program is for Presstek DI press users that want additional or updated press operator training. The classes are free for DI customers and include emphasis on color management, minimizing makereadies and maintenance issues.
"We understand that the best utilization of ourDI is to have tip-top pressman running the press," explains Jay Hughes, Presstek DI sales manager for Mark Andy Print Products. "All of the classes we have done have been at in-plant shops, as in-plant personnel see the value of in Presstek DI technology and partnership with Mark Andy."
The DI press at the Division of Department of Work Force Services replaced a conventional four-color ABDick 4995. The Presstek DI has given the in-plant the ability to run its four-color work with ease and improve its quality too.
