Paper isn’t the only resource being used when you make a printout. There’s plenty of ink and toner on those pages as well. To help your cartridges last longer, a Dutch company has developed a new font with tiny holes in its letters.
SPRANQ Creative Communications, of Utrecht, in The Netherlands, based its aerated font on Vera Sans, an open source font. (We’ve used it in this article.) Called the Ecofont, it reportedly uses up to 20 percent less ink.
