Agfa Graphics has added varnish to its Jeti Titan S and HS true flatbed printing system, set to make its North American debut at ISA’s Sign Expo 2015. The Jeti Titan HS + FTR (flat-to-roll) will be among several Agfa Graphics printing devices being demonstrated on the show floor in the company’s booth (#1350) at Sign Expo in Las Vegas in April.
The Jeti Titan HS + FTR with varnish offers sign and display printing companies the chance to differentiate themselves. Used as ‘spot’ varnish, it can add dramatic effects to many applications like POP displays, packaging, decorative prints, trade show graphics etc. Agfa Graphics’ specially formulated UV-curable varnish is compatible with most standard UV-printing media and cures to a perfect sheen in gloss, or with a semi-gloss effect.
“The addition of varnish to the Jeti Titan S and HS printing systems gives PSPs the chance to be more creative and offer a wider array of ideas to their customers,” said Deborah Hutcheson, director of marketing, Agfa Graphics, North America. “The varnish can be applied as a protective coating or it can be used to highlight specific areas of the print for dramatic effect. The Jeti Titan S and HS also come with white and primer, for even greater opportunities for big ideas to come to life.”
Featuring the latest generation 1,280-nozzle Ricoh Gen five print heads, the Jeti Titan S (speed) and HS (high-speed) with varnish + FTR combine exceptional print quality and high productivity at a best-in-industry price point. They are ideal for high-value work like POP/POS viewed at close range or for the high-level art, fashion and cosmetics markets.
Named as “Product of the Year” at the 2014 SGIA Expo, the Jeti Titan HS system’s FTR option offers the ability to print flexible media with the same high quality and resolution as rigid materials. The “S” version of the Jeti Titan has a single row of print heads, but is field upgradeable to add the second row.
Show attendees can also tour the popular “Surf N’ Crab Application Zone” featuring the newest Duratex media introductions. The “Surf N’ Crab” simulates a seafood bar and surf shop, offering fun, colorful and vibrant graphics created entirely with inkjet technologies, including the new Jeti Titan HS with varnish.
These and other Agfa Graphics solutions will be in booth #1350 at ISA’s Sign Expo 2015, being held from April 9-11, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. For more information, click here.
