The Association of College and University Printers (ACUP) is celebrating its golden anniversary this spring with an aptly chosen conference theme: “Golden Opportunity.”
From April 12 to 16, ACUP will host printing, mailing and communications professionals from throughout higher education in the coastal city of Portsmouth, VA. The event will offer numerous opportunities to meet other managers, network and share industry insights. The vendor exhibit area will show off some of the latest technologies for in-plants.
Educational sessions will span topics like demonstrating an in-plant’s value, assessing campus-wide copier fleets, merging print and mail, 3D printing, garment printing, variable data, reporting structures and more. In recognition of the conference’s 50th anniversary, long-term and retired ACUP members will share some of the wisdom they gained from their years of in-plant service.
This year’s ACUP conference will feature nine roundtable discussions. Topics will include insourcing and outsourcing, handling difficult bosses, customers and employees, quality control and tackling deadline emergencies. The conference will culminate in a gala dinner and awards ceremony during which winners of the ACUP Production Awards and the ACUP Impression Awards will be honored. Learn more about ACUP and register for the conference at www.acup-edu.org.
