After 52 years, ACUP has a new look and a (slightly) new name. The Association of College and University Printers unveiled a new logo showcasing not only a contemporary and colorful new look, but a name that more accurately reflects its membership composition.
ACUP+, the new name developed by ACUP's marketing committee and endorsed by its board, reflects the expansion of ACUP membership to include K-12 in-plant printing and mailing facilities, as well as the traditional membership of college and university in-plants. ACUP+ now has members that hail from all corners of the United States.
The new logo was developed for ACUP+ by graphic designers at The University of Texas Health Sciences Center at Houston under the leadership of Donna Horbelt, director of UTHealth Printing and Mailing Services and a member of the ACUP+ marketing committee. The logo uses contemporary sans serif fonts and a color bar representative of the printing industry. A two-color version has also been developed for applications where the full color bar may not be possible for cost or other reproduction reasons.
The new logo debuts just five months before ACUP's next conference, which will be held April 2-6 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Find out more here.
