In an online ceremony Wednesday night that drew dozens of in-plants from all over the country, the Association of College and University Printers (ACUP+) honored the winners of its ACUP+ Awards competition. The awards were to have been handed out personally on the last day of ACUP’s planned conference in Lincoln, Neb., earlier this year but that event, like many, was canceled due to COVID-19.
The ceremony, conducted via a Zoom call, brought together higher-ed in-plant managers from five time zones, stretching from Alaska to Maine. After 15 minutes of socializing among members, ACUP+ Administrative Director Jennifer Bowers kicked off the ceremony. ACUP+ President Bob Donahue, of Franklin University, welcomed attendees, and awards were announced by Theresa Roby, of Penn State, and Donna Horbelt, of University of California, Davis.
This year's ACUP Hall of Fame honor went to Lisa Hoover of Bucknell University (wife of a previous Hall of Fame inductee, Andrew Scott). Barb Childers, of the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, earned the ACUP Achiever award for her many contributions to the association. The Best of Show winner was the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.
This year ACUP reclassified winners in each category of its Production Awards as Gold and Platinum instead of First Place and Honorable Mention. Here's a list of all the 2020 ACUP+ Awards winners:

During that tenure she hosted one of the most well attended ACUP conferences in history. Prior to that, Bowers oversaw the in-plant at Indiana University Purdue University-Fort Wayne.
