The 52nd annual Association of College and University Printers (ACUP+) conference is approaching quickly (April 2-6). Already more than 70 attendees have signed up, including 20 first timers. As in past years, managers from Australia, the U.K. and Canada will join scores of U.S. managers from all over the country at this one-of-a-kind in-plant networking event, taking place this year in downtown Cincinnati.
The conference is open to all higher-ed and school district in-plants and will feature numerous educational sessions covering topics of importance to in-plants, such as justifying your in-plant, using benchmarks to improve performance, wide-format applications, production inkjet, mailing, marketing and more. ACUP members will share their operations’ success stories and strategic plans for growth.
The conference will also feature two nationally acclaimed keynote speakers: Mack Dryden (Laugh Your Way to the Top, Achieving Your Goals) and Patti Hathaway (Untying the “Nots” of Nonstop Change). A two-day vendor exhibit area, a dinner boat cruise on the Ohio River and a tour of the University of Cincinnati’s Printing and Copy Center operations will round out the conference.
In preparation for the conference, the ACUP+ board of directors met in January in Cincinnati, the conference location, to review and update the association’s strategic plan.
They also examined a record number of entries in the ACUP Awards, selecting winners in 16 categories. All the entries will be showcased at the conference, to be held at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Cincinnati. Award winners will be announced on Wednesday April 5 during a gala dinner and awards ceremony. Find out more at: www.acup-edu.org.
