New Video Focuses on SUPDMC Conference

Last month, about 30 in-plant managers from universities all over the southern U.S. got together in Nashville for the 36th annual Southeastern University Printing and Digital Managers Conference (SUPDMC). A new IPG video offers a close-up view of the event, showing the attendees, vendors and presentations.

It also offers an inside look at Vanderbilt University Printing Services, which the group toured. This large in-plant boasts a six-color press, plus other four- and two-color presses, a digital printing section and a busy bindery.

Organized by the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and the University of Tennessee, Martin, SUPDMC covered topics like outsourcing, social media, adding value, FSC certification and more. Speakers included Ray Chambers, of the Chambers Management Group, Catherine Chambers, of Virginia Tech Printing Services, Consultant Vic Barkin, Jerry Sampson, of xpedx, and IPG Editor Bob Neubauer.
